THOU SHALL NOT COVET

In Exodus chapter 20, up in the high places of Mt Sinai, God writes with His own finger in the Rock. His commands and Law are to forever govern the people, and for them to self-govern their lives and families by honoring God’s Standard. Interestingly, the final command “You shall NOT Covet” is not a visible behavior that’s so obvious. Covetousness deals with the heart, intensions and our inner desires. Covetousness is a dangerous deception that will tell you—enough is never enough. It makes satisfaction and fulfillment out of reach. God desires that this kind of darkness that is connected to greed and envy no longer sabotage and stumble His beloved people.
